How To Apply For The Fully Funded Scholarship For Nigerian Students To Study Abroad
Fully funded scholarship for Nigerian students to study abroad is brought to you by the Nigerian government under the Ministry of Education for those bright students who wish to study in Egypt, Morocco and Hungary without paying a dime.
The scholarship process and application are restricted to mainly students who are Nigerians by birth with permanent residence in the country. The Ministry Of Education is giving out this scholarship for students who are not able to further their education to the next stage or level after stopping at a stage.
The scholarship will be funded to students who pass the required criteria which includes some academic merits and show of financial need solution.

Who Can Apply For The Scholarship?
The Nigerian Ministry of Education has made it a flexible offer for both undergraduates and post-graduates to access this fully funded scholarship for Nigerian students to study abroad.
This offer is a bit light unlike the past years and the offers they have been promising to give out and also the criteria that follow the scholarship being awarded to a candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
As it has been listed earlier it is strictly for Nigerians who are citizens by birth. They are the only one that is viable to access this fully funded scholarship. The candidate must currently reside, study or work in any location in Nigeria. They must endeavour to fulfil the requirement before applying for the scholarship as incomplete registration will not be accepted for the application.
No form of forged documents must be used for the application process as the documents will be thoroughly checked and any candidate/applicant who is caught using such forged documents to apply will be handed over to the right office for serious punishment.
For Undergraduates, their studies are tenable in countries such as Russia, Morocco, Hungary and Egypt.
Fields Of Study For Undergraduate Course
The following are the courses available for candidates to select from when applying for the scholarship. So the Ministry of Education will be taking only those who are ready to study any of the following courses listed below;
- Engineering – Electricals, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial and other types of Engineering.
- Geology
- Agricultural Science
- Pure Mathematics
- Environmental Related Science
- Sports
- Law
- Social Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Architecture
- Medicine (this course is limited)
- Pilot Engineering
- Neurology
General Conditions For The Scholarship Application
The following are some of the general conditions for the scholarship application:
- All applying candidates for the undergraduate degree studies must possess all the following that are listed below:
Five (7) distinctions in the variables of A’s and B’s in their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) of the May/June series only. - The candidate must possess the distinctions in the subjects that are relevant to the courses he/she chooses to study if granted the scholarship. For example, students who wish to study Engineering must have distinctions in English Language, General Mathematics, Physics and Further Mathematics while students who are to study Medicine should have distinctions in English Language, General Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.
- The West African Certificate result must not be more than two years old, that is, (2020 and 2021) for those who wish to attend a non-African country to study for the scholarship session while in the African category, the age of the certificate must not be more than 2021 result.

Requirements For Post-Graduate Degree
The post-graduate studies scholarship program is for students who have completed their higher degree studies and have obtained certain degrees and certificates in any of the Nigerian universities and wish to further their education to another level. The candidate must possess the following criteria before he/she will be accepted into the program for the scholarship.
NOTE: The post-graduate study level is for candidates that wish to study and get certification in Master’s Degree and PhD in all fields.
- The candidate must possess some high level of academic, professional and creative excellence in most of his dealings with people.
- Excellent skills in communication especially in English Language or any other foreign language like French, Swiss and any other one aside Nigerian local language
- Final-year students in the university can also put in their applications for their Master’s degree programme
- The candidate must be open to learning a new language and adapting to a new culture as the candidate will be studying in a foreign land other than where he/she is very familiar.
- The scholarship program application is free, do not allow any agent to receive money dubiously from you for the application process.
- Each candidate must ensure they have met the requirements of the application before considering applying for the scholarship programme.
- The candidates must make sure that their admission requirements comply with the privacy policy and the terms and conditions of the Nigeria government ministry of education
How To Apply For The Fully Funded Scholarship For Nigerian Students To Study Abroad
- Log on to the Nigerian Ministry of Education website, through this link. Then click on the space written “Click to apply”.
- The ‘Click to apply” link will lead you to another page where the application process will be processed. Scroll down to the bottom of the website page and click on “Apply Now“
- The Apply Now link will lead you to the main page where the applicant will be asked to create an account. The following will be filled into the check boxes [ email address, password, surname, first name, other names, phone number].
- Then on the last check box, the applicant will be required to choose the type of scholarship. The type to be chosen should be a ” Bilateral Education Agreement”.
- After the process, the applicant will be sent a verification mail to the e-mail address used in the registration process. The applicant must go to the email address to verify the mail sent before continuing the process.
- After the e-mail address has been verified, the next action is to log in and provide the site with all the required information needed before clicking on the “SUBMIT” button.
